Placiq Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Placiq, including our website, applications, dashboards, APIs, AI-assisted tools, reports, resume features, learning tools, project-builder features, assessments, enterprise/recruiter features, subscriptions, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By creating an account, accessing the Services, uploading content, using any AI feature, purchasing a plan, or clicking “I agree”, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Placiq.

2. Nature of the Services

Placiq provides AI-assisted educational, career-readiness, resume, learning, assessment, project-building, and recruitment-support tools. The Services may include:

Placiq is not an employer, recruiter, university, placement cell, financial advisor, legal advisor, immigration advisor, or professional career guarantee provider.

3. No guarantee of outcomes

You understand and agree that Placiq does not guarantee:

All scores, reports, roadmaps, suggestions, recommendations, and AI-generated outputs are indicative and educational only.

4. AI output disclaimer and user responsibility

The Services use artificial intelligence systems and third-party model providers. AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, misleading, biased, hallucinated, unsafe, or unsuitable for your circumstances.

You must independently verify all AI responses, resume suggestions, career advice, code explanations, learning content, skill-gap outputs, placement-readiness estimates, job-fit analysis, and generated text before relying on them.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Placiq is not responsible or liable for any loss, damage, missed opportunity, rejection, incorrect application, failed interview, academic issue, employment issue, financial issue, reputational issue, or other consequence arising from your reliance on AI responses or platform outputs.

5. Eligibility

You may use the Services only if you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law.

If you are under 18 years of age, you may use the Services only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, and such parent or guardian is responsible for your use of the Services.

6. Account registration and security

You agree to provide accurate and current account information.

7. Plans, quotas, and feature access

Placiq may offer Free, Pro, Pro Plus, demo, enterprise, manually activated, or other plans.

We may modify plan features, quotas, pricing, and availability from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app, website, email, or other reasonable means.

Free access may be limited to previews or restricted usage. Paid access may still have quotas, rate limits, and fair-use limits.

8. Payments and manual activation

Where manual payment activation is supported, access may be activated after we verify payment. Manual activation is not instant unless clearly stated.

If payment is successful but access is not activated due to a Placiq-side issue, you may contact support@placiq.in for activation support or refund review under our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

You agree not to submit fake payment screenshots, altered transaction proofs, chargeback fraud, duplicate-account abuse, or payment bypass attempts.

9. User content

“User Content” includes resumes, names, emails, profile data, GitHub usernames, project descriptions, code snippets, chats, answers, test submissions, JD text, uploaded files, screenshots, feedback, and any other content you provide.

You retain ownership of your User Content. However, you grant Placiq a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, store, analyze, transform, display, and use your User Content only for operating, securing, improving, and providing the Services, including AI analysis and report generation.

You represent that you have the lawful right to upload and process the User Content you provide.

10. Resume, GitHub, and career data

By uploading a resume or providing a GitHub username/profile link, you authorize Placiq to process that data to generate resume insights, skill-gap analysis, project evidence analysis, career-readiness reports, candidate profiles, and related outputs.

GitHub analysis may use publicly available repository/profile information. You should not provide usernames or profile links that you do not have permission to use.

11. Candidate visibility and enterprise features

Where candidate/recruiter features are available, candidate visibility may be controlled through platform settings, plan rules, institutional configuration, or admin controls.

Enterprise/recruiter users must use candidate information only for legitimate hiring, placement, assessment, or institutional purposes. Recruiters must not scrape, resell, publish, misuse, or discriminate using candidate data.

Placiq may restrict, suspend, or terminate enterprise/recruiter access for misuse.

12. Assessments, learning, and integrity

You agree not to cheat, bypass learning modules, request hidden answer keys, manipulate scores, abuse AI explanations, automate submissions, or misrepresent generated work as your own without understanding or attribution where required.

Placiq may use anti-abuse, scoring validation, rate limits, and review systems to protect platform integrity.

13. Prohibited uses

You must not use the Services to:

14. Third-party services

Placiq may rely on third-party services for authentication, hosting, databases, storage, payments, AI models, analytics, email, security, and monitoring. These third-party services may have their own terms and privacy practices.

We are not responsible for failures, downtime, pricing changes, model errors, data processing limitations, or service changes by third parties, except where required by applicable law.

15. Service availability

We aim to keep the Services reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or permanent access.

The Services may be unavailable due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, third-party outages, abuse prevention, security incidents, payment-provider issues, or force majeure events.

16. Changes to the Services

We may add, remove, limit, suspend, redesign, or modify features at any time, including AI models, quotas, plan benefits, storage behavior, reports, scoring logic, and enterprise workflows.

We may discontinue beta, demo, free, experimental, or preview features without liability.

17. Intellectual property

The Services, software, design, branding, workflows, scoring systems, prompts, reports, UI, database structures, question banks, learning flows, and platform content are owned by Placiq or its licensors, except for User Content and third-party materials.

You may not copy, clone, resell, reverse engineer, or create competing services using Placiq’s protected materials unless permitted by law or written agreement.

18. Beta and experimental features

Some features may be marked or treated as beta, experimental, preview, or early access. These may be less reliable and may change frequently.

You use beta features at your own risk.

19. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account or access if:

20. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Placiq disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, employability outcome, placement outcome, merchantability, non-infringement, uninterrupted access, and error-free operation.

21. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Placiq, its founder(s), operators, employees, contractors, affiliates, service providers, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, reputational, academic, employment-related, financial, data-related, or opportunity-related damages, including loss of job opportunity, interview opportunity, income, profits, data, goodwill, resume ranking, placement outcome, or business opportunity.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Placiq’s total liability for any claim relating to the Services shall not exceed the amount actually paid by you to Placiq for the specific Service giving rise to the claim during the three months immediately preceding the claim, or INR 1,000, whichever is lower.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Placiq, its founder(s), operators, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:

24. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Subject to applicable law, courts located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to the Services.

Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at support@placiq.in and attempt to resolve the issue informally.

25. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on the website or app. Continued use of the Services after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
