Placiq Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) explains what users may and may not do while using Placiq. It applies to all students, learners, recruiters, institutions, enterprise users, visitors, and API users.
1. General rule
Use Placiq only for lawful, ethical, educational, career-development, assessment, and hiring-support purposes.
Do not misuse the Services, harm others, attack the platform, or bypass paid access controls.
2. Account abuse
You must not:
- share, sell, rent, or transfer your account;
- create multiple accounts to bypass quotas, payments, limits, or bans;
- use fake identity details;
- impersonate another person, company, recruiter, institution, or student;
- access another user’s account or data;
- attempt to change your role, plan, score, payment status, or admin status without authorization.
3. AI abuse
You must not use AI features to:
- generate fake resumes, fake experience, fake projects, fake achievements, fake certificates, or fake metrics;
- request hidden answer keys or bypass learning modules;
- cheat on assessments, interviews, exams, assignments, or hiring tests;
- generate malware, phishing, credential theft, exploit code, or harmful automation;
- harass, defame, threaten, discriminate, or manipulate others;
- produce unlawful or harmful content;
- bypass Placiq safety, plan, quota, or usage controls.
4. Resume and profile integrity
You must not upload or submit:
- resumes containing knowingly false information;
- fake internships, fake companies, fake projects, fake degrees, or fake certifications;
- personal data of another person without permission;
- confidential documents you do not have the right to upload;
- misleading claims designed to deceive recruiters or institutions.
5. Upload safety
You must not upload:
- malware;
- malicious PDFs/documents;
- scripts disguised as documents;
- files designed to exploit parsers or infrastructure;
- excessively large or abusive files;
- copyrighted files you are not permitted to upload.
6. Platform security
You must not:
- scan, attack, overload, benchmark abusively, or disrupt the Services;
- scrape, crawl, copy, or bulk-download data without permission;
- bypass authentication, authorization, RLS, rate limits, plan checks, or payment gates;
- exploit bugs or access controls;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or clone protected parts of the platform;
- use automated bots except where explicitly allowed;
- test security vulnerabilities without written permission.
7. Recruiter and enterprise misuse
Recruiters, HR users, institutions, and enterprise users must not:
- scrape candidate data;
- sell, publish, or redistribute candidate data;
- contact candidates for unrelated spam;
- discriminate unlawfully;
- misuse candidate scores as the sole basis for hiring decisions;
- access candidates outside authorized scope;
- share login credentials across teams unless allowed by plan;
- export data beyond legitimate hiring/placement purposes.
8. Payment misuse
You must not:
- submit fake or edited payment screenshots;
- claim false payments;
- abuse chargebacks;
- use stolen payment instruments;
- bypass subscriptions or paid access;
- manipulate plan expiry or quota counters.
9. Consequences
If you violate this AUP, Placiq may:
- warn you;
- restrict features;
- reduce quotas;
- suspend or terminate your account;
- revoke paid access without refund where permitted;
- delete abusive content;
- block IPs/devices;
- report unlawful activity to relevant authorities;
- take legal action where necessary.
